Taiwan's aborigine believe that the nature is the greatest teacher for
the mankind. All things for men to learn is already existing in life itself,
therofore, for the members of the tribe, the first thing to learn is to face the
nature with sincerity. They believe that only after you have learned the right
way to treat the nature, and then you will be improved and inspired in mental
wisdom. The origion of Tai-ya Tribe is unclear. The only thing we know is that
this tribe have resided in central and northern mountain areas of Taiwan in Ming
and Ching Dynasty, between north latitude 24 to 25 degree, which can be approved
from the written history records. Their traditional production way includes
agriculture, hunting and fishing, of which the "GAGA" system is the most
distinguished characteristic of the belief of life for this tribe. |
