Ethics is defined as one of habits of distinguishing between good and not good. The police ethics discussed in this paper belong to the domain of applied ethics. Because of particular natures of police work and frequency of police corruption, the study of police ethics is getting more important in the industrialized countries. The main purpose of this paper is to discuss some topics of the police ethics, including the situation of police work, the contents of police ethics, and police ethical dilemmas. This paper also tries to elaborate approaches of development of police ethics and decision-making model of police ethical behaviors. Finally, this paper would like anticipate that there is a specific strategy of ethical policing in Taiwan, The Republic of China in the future. |
