The purpose of this study was to develop a self-regulation instrument for higher education online environment with the use of OpenCourseWare (OCW). The development process included a translation from an existing and validated scale, online self-regulated learning questionnaire (OSLQ), an expert review, and a confirmatory factor analysis. A survey was conducted with 175 students who enrolled in a Taiwanese higher education online physics course. Internal consistency reliability and confirmatory factor analysis revealed goodness-of-fit statistic, which led to the resulting instrument. |
